In the winter of 2020, I studied abroad in Dakar with my roommate for 10 weeks, returning to the United States as the COVID-19 pandemic swept across the world. This blog is an informal, haphazard collection of writing produced during that time, often written after bouts of confusion in the city. It is preserved for posterity.
